Mobile Wi-Fi from Ford

I can believe I’m actually saying this about an American car company, but this mobile Wi-Fi idea is pretty cool. At least Ford is putting some thought into mobile computing in your car. My 2008 Honda Pilot doesn’t even have a AUX port to plug an iPod into the stereo. I had to have someone install a gadget that plugs directly into the FM antenna. Talk about antiquated.

…I also found out if you buy a breathalyzer at Bestbuy.com under the car accessories category. Scary stuff.

My car still has a tape deck. No audio inputs. Except a cassette. So have a piece of shit plastic cassette with an audio output that I shove in there and attach to my MP3 player. It works like a charm, and I know no one will ever try to break in to steal my totally badass audio setup.

My wife has the same thing in her VW. Now they don’t put cassette tapes in new cars. They install something even more useless…CD players. I have one CD in my six disc changer that I never listen listen to.
